Experimentelle Television

This website documents the work of the Jr. Professor emeritus of Experimental Television at The Bauhaus University Weimar, Ben Sassen. Ben Sassen began the new chair at the university’s media faculty in June 2007, becoming both Germany’s first ever Jr. Prof. of art and design (previously the title of Jr. Prof. had been reserved only for academics working in scientific fields) and one of the youngest people in Germany to hold the title of professor in the process. Ben led a broad range of projects and international collaborations within this unique field until his departure from the university in March 2011.
